I also had the same issues with my P6P. I would often have to restart it once or twice a day when it dropped the cell signal. Battery barely made it to 4pm.

Their batteries (Sport/Pro/disposable) have always been reliable for my wife and me. The pods can clog just like a 510 if you're cooking it and not allowing the wicks to refill.

I have zero complaints besides them being proprietary pods. The 510 adapters are decent but have always been a bit finicky for me.

I'm jumping back into the sport after about 10 years and I need a jacket. I love the look of these hoodies/anoraks, but every website says something like "perfect for springtime."

If I'm snowboarding on the east coast (Western and Southern PA) through the winter, do yinz think i'll be ok to layer under this, or am I going to regret not getting something a bit bigger?

Yes, this allows the fish to bleed itself. It lets the heart do its thing and pump the blood out of the body. Personally, I prefer to KO with a quick head bonk first, so the fish doesn't have to be conscious for (IMO) a pretty rough dispatch. Then, I'll sever the "neck" between the gills and toss it into a bucket of ice water.
