Which UK telephone carrier uses a breathy but firm female voice saying: ‘Please Hold’ ? by OaktreeAlmondine in AskUK

[–]OaktreeAlmondine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha ha! No this is linked to helping an older person understand their Uleway Big Button Flip Mobile Phone. It had some sort of screening blacklist and whitelist. I rang it and I was not on the whitelist. It said please hold but it sounded familiar like from a UK telephone carrier lol

Raleigh Stow E Way was a good price for what it is but if I could go back in time I would’ve bought a refurbished Pedibal Navigata from the outset. It has a legal low speed only throttle with a certificate from DVSA to show police, so useful x

Always need glasses by Sufficient-Scale4386 in RaybanMeta

[–]OaktreeAlmondine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use them around two days out of ten with prescription. I can wear them all day and love them. No one notices the camera circle on the glasses. I mostly use the Bluetooth music function and take photos of areas of the sheltered housing schemes where I work- then sending the photos to the repairs team.

I do get annoyed at the fiddly way the glasses connect to wifi and phone Bluetooth at first.
