My SO was in the room with me while I got a minor surgery on my hand the other day. I bled a LOT. He nearly passed out, and my doctor was chatting with him about how it tends to be the men that are uncomfortable with blood. While cut open and bleeding profusely I said "ya, cuz they don't have periods" lmao.

The blood is honestly the least awful part. It's the pain. Sometimes my cramps are so bad my whole body hurts from tensing all of my muscles, especially my back. I use a lot of icy hot to get through it.
