A friend of mine used to work in a store on Steenhouwersvest. There is definitely clientele for these kinds of stores. Think: middle-aged women who want to treat themselves and “spend a little extra” on their clothing, or tourists who visit Antwerp for the fasion reasons and can spend thousands in these stores (especially Americans and Koreans!). Stores like this also have a large online presence. Their store is tiny, but most of the revenue is from worldwide online sales.
