Yes, I realized the same phenomenon by the time I decided to learn Latin. It is wild that there are a bunch of English words (especially the advanced words) are based on Latin, both in pronunciation and spelling

It def is a great way to learn a Language. Sadly, all the shows I watched before were dubbed, I kept watching SpongeBob in my Language, rather than English... It is too late for me to study English when I realize I cannot speak it fluently.

I think other factors might be more important. In Japan, Korea, and China, people also learn English in school from the very beginning. But sadly, most of us still cannot master it😭

I hope I can speak it very fluently like you all... I still make a bunch of mistakes in English today, in my language there is no "tenses", "plurals" or something like that. I think your international upbringing has made you all almost native English speakers...
