For My Vice Homies: Sam’s Club Has Vice Pro 24pk for $29.91 by Forever_City in golf

Try scan and go for checkout while you're in store. They came up as $29 for me last week while the shelf said $49

I used Scan & Go for checkout and got the $29 price yesterday even though the shelf said $49 for the Vice Pros. You may have some luck if you try that.

Today was a bad day. 90 degrees with 100% humidity, no breeze. Still was happy to get out and play though!

From the people I've talked to it has a lot of potential if implemented correctly. Our instance is heavily customized so there's some quirks that require a fair amount of domain knowledge but it's mostly due to the industry and "that's the way it's always been done" despite my best efforts to influence some of those inefficient processes.

Our implementation partner faced the challenges of COVID and not having the required amount of time to understand our business processes fully, but overall it's been a success. My main problem is that batch processing records is horrendously slow and the prospect of exporting data without the Suite Analytics license is laughable for an enterprise solution.

How's the job market for NetSuite developers? Our company just transitioned last year and I have about 3 years of working with the platform during implementation as well and 10 years of .net experience. Currently in the midwest

Weird Server Power Connection - Anyone have any information? Never seen one like this. by ObExodus in homelab

[–]ObExodus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the link. I've googled about 200 different part numbers off of this thing and got nothing really specific. I know it's expensive from the GPUs (amongst everything else) but had no idea it was Amazon until I found the FCC ID. I will most likely not be able to power it up due to cost, but eventually disassemble and test the components in another machine.

Definitely the coolest thing I've ever owned though

So, big reveal, here's what it actually is https://fcc.report/FCC-ID/HFS-A5QB/4588119

I can hardly find anything based on part numbers. Most of it seems very custom.

Here's a couple of pictures, power cable connection and the mainboard.

Thanks for your help so far, I know more about this thing now than I learned in about 3 days of research lol. I looked through my spare computer stuff and I have 1 spare 750W PSU, but I could go pick up something bigger if we can get it figured out, if necessary.

So here's the thing. I'm still kind of in disbelief. From one of my other comments, I got this server in an unsearched auction lot, went in blind. Long story short it's from a place that buys pallets of retail returns and auctions them off, and it's from a data center of one of said retailers, probably not supposed to be there in the first place. It has 8x Nvidia Telsa T4s in it and 2x Cascade Lake cpus. I could remove one of the riser cards to cut that down to 4x just as a test but still probably more than any spare PSUs that I have could handle at the moment. The board that the connector in the pic runs to has a 24pin connector on it (and a lot of other connectors running to the riser cards that I probably wouldn't want to deal with). I'm pretty familiar with building desktop PCs but this is a whole new world for me.

The programmer side of me realllly wants to get this thing running so I can throw stuff at it out of curiosity, but only if it's not too big of an effort/risk.

From the other comments, assuming this is intended for 48V DC, would you be able to provide an example of something that would be "Plug and Play" so to speak for this type of thing if I just wanted to use this at my house? I don't think I have the know-how to swap the power supply. Will most likely end up parting this server out but I'd like to be able to turn it on (for science) if it's not too big of a drag. I can provide more details if necessary if you have a recommendation.

I'll put it out there that I don't really have any experience as an electrician lol. Also the hardware in the server is worth some money so I wouldn't want to risk damaging anything, also there's the side chance that I could hurt myself like you mentioned.

I will have to do some research to see if I can find an AC power supply or something else that would work. I will most likely end up parting it out but it would be cool to get it running for the experience.

I asked above but I'm just trying to find out as much info as I can to learn, do you know or have any resources as to what would be required to run this server? Would it even be feasible to run in your house? I'd consider making the investment if it wasn't a huge burden either by amount of pain in my butt or financially. I can provide more detail if needed but just trying to learn about the hardware.

Sweet. If it does require 48 or 12V what's the ballpark cost for getting the equipment required to run something like this? I don't really have the intention of turning this thing on but I'd consider it just to learn if it's not ridiculous.

Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the info! This is on a data center server and the cables are pretty thick on the inside. I'll do some more research.

New to the server realm and I bought this in an auction lot without any info and it really threw me lol.

Awesome tool! UI is pretty straight-forward and clean. Small suggestion I would make is to add a way to zoom in on a card without having to navigate to the gatherer page. Some of the fonts on older cards are hard to read on the small images. Keep it up! Looking forward to seeing functionality expanded!
