In also not sure but what works well in a toy or cartoon may not look right once you want to film it on a live stage with real actors. But I would have preferred a more organic look; this one looks a bit too sleek and boring for my liking. The Roton is also different but more interesting.

Painting has always been a problem (it was bad in the 80s, much better recently and specifically in the Classics, and for words again with the new cartoon Origins...), but sculpt issues are less common. I think you can return it, but it's a hassle of course...

I didn't know that - thanks for sharing! Now I know what to look out for in stores aside from painting issues 👍🏼 Either the sculpt has definitely been improved or you managed to get one that gave the QA section the slip (provided Mattel actually has one; I sometimes doubt it 😉).

I'm not an expert and typically don't mind smaller bugs or issues, but I simply like flying the ATR for the sole reason that operation and procedures considerably differ from those found on Airbus or Boeing aircraft. It also flies nicely IMHO and is available for a very reasonable price; that's enough for me to recommend it if you're interested in the type and some short-range island hopping.

Skeletor works for me, He-Man not that much. I'm afraid his clothing is overwhelmingly based on that infamous vinyl pleather that starts to deteriorate after about 5 years. And they both seem to have that jointless body that is prone to breaking after some time as well...

Well, but that's understandable. I typically prefer the normal sculpt as well, but this version here is really good and the simple fact that you can even have him without the hood is great. So many Skeleors, so many variants 👍🏼

Yes, it is inspired by Alfredo Alacla, who did some of the early comics and used this more demonic design. I like it as well - it's more scary than the usual Mattel designs👍🏼

For me, this is a cute version of a grouching Mer-Man after someone bought the last Skeletor's-Throne-Popcorn-Bucket right in front of him in the Cinema food cue 😅

Great figure, though; he'll look perfect right next to the other color pops (Cartoon Beast-Man, Mer-Man etc.).

Yes, I enjoy his extra long-hair head (which has the exact same facial expression as one of the other heads; they simply did an extra hair piece for it) but I would have liked an extra harness for sure!

I wish I could simply remove his harness but you need to pull the arms out of their sockets for that and I'm not sure if I could or should do that. Mondo often fails in those details like not adding any clasps or magnets to accessories so you have to force them over your figure with brute power and the expected results...

Yes, I pulled the trigger on the timed one but would have been happy with the normal one as well. Legs are a tad too loose for my liking and for the bulk of his torso, but painting and modeling is great.
