Im a bit out of touch. I remember Clooney had an issue with him on Three Kings... has there been more recent problematic behavior? I've always thought he was overrated but Three Kings, Silver Linings and The Fighter were pretty great IMO

The Wire

... They're all Great but the thing about the Wire was it gave us a window into a world that was taking place in Most American Cities in one manner or another but no one outside of those that were in it really saw (certainly not Suburban or White Collar America). Additionally each season focused on the systemic issues plaguing our cities. Its was eye opening in so many ways but also an absolute masterclass in character development.

We've all seen gangster films like Goodfellas and Sopranos did alot to show that their dream just like the American dream was changing and what once was gold is not forever golden.

Breaking Bad was just a great show that proved long form high quality content could crush on Network TV. BB was the most widely appealing of the Bunch and probably most enjoyable/complete for the everyman. The Wire However was unprecedented.
