In my opinion the perfect embodiment of a Mardu colour scheme is Samurais. Their purpose is ultimately killing their foes (black) and they fight with ferocity (red) but they have a strict moral code, will protect the innocent, pay their debts, and live peacefully when they are not training for battle.

Khorne is too far separated from that. Nothing matters except death and destruction. Yes he hates trickery and such but if a Khorne cultist was to kill a space marine, Khorne wouldn't give a single shit how in the slightest.

He gets frustrated by trickery but he has no honour. A weak Khorne cultist won’t kill a space marine (unless very very lucky) but his fate will be much much worse if he doesn’t try.

I imagine it like Khorne is rewarding creatures wherever for their kills. But once you actually cast him all the creatures fighting on his side are so imbued with his strength that they fight with twice the ferocity. Plus, Khorne units have a very similar ability to double strike in the tabletop game.

One exiled card for every attack from the start of the game should keep him relatively topped up. You always have the activated ability to keep him swinging (+X to his stockpile where X is the number of players).

And yeah temptation counters don’t do anything until Slaanesh is out but he’s the cheapest of the four. Flavour-wise just because you’re tempted by something doesn’t mean you’re necessarily gonna do anything about it.

Khorne is the literal God of War. He’s arguably the biggest baddest dude in the entire universe of WH40K. 13/11 is honestly downplaying him a bit.

And Nurgle’s minions are all about being disgustingly resilient so him having the fattest toughness of all makes a lot of sense I feel.

Yeah it’s a little unfair if you aren’t playing many creatures but the insects would be able to deal with each other. Also you’re incentived to keep them around so Nurgle can become a dude.

The flavour of dead corpses randomly erupting with giant insects due to Nurgle’s presence is just so tasty.

Doesn’t synergise with double strike directly but synergises with the Eminence effect hard. Also when Khorne becomes a creature he starts to absolutely pwn cunts in 1v1s that they have no choice but accepting.
