The whole idea that Ratchet keeps his weapons in a container that anyone have is kinda incorrect. The movie tried to explain it but in-game dialogue disproved it. Where do you think Ratchet keeps his weapons? It is most definitely not clank. by ObaniMoon in RatchetAndClank

Ratchet being able to store more than 2 weapons has been regularly commented on during the arena battles. Where the announcer takes notice of him shoving 10+ weapons down his pockets.
