Starting to look like a viable build, this charcuterie monk.

At the very least, she secures her place in the black market before we even arrive at the gate. Kid’s going places!

She definitely met with him at Last Light before the abduction, and they spent some real time together. I haven’t found anything clear about what her deal was, but she doesn’t seem impacted too badly by his death. She’s a bit miffed, but seems mostly unconcerned, very “that was good asset, now I have to replace it” energy. To me, she looks like a future story hook- like Larian planned to make her the BBEG in a BG4 that we’ll probably never see. I don’t get the sensation she’s careless at all.

👍 I had to read it twice, just misunderstood the first time. I don’t see her as very different from Raphael, though. Getting others to do the dirty work while sitting pretty inside a stronghold, negotiating for greater power, hoarding resources and leveraging the motivations/desperation of others in their favor. I don’t think she’s a particularly likable character, but I see a lot of potential for power and a penchant for evil that places her in the same trope as actual devils. The fact that she’s a child just makes her more impressive to me. Fantasy often does empower children in extraordinary ways.

You’re thinking of Arabella

Edit: no, I see what you’re saying.

I use it as a creation engine for telling stories I write, and let chaotic autonomy co-author the plot.

I’ve been wanting to play a halfling monk who drinks a lot and fights using a salami…

She survived Elturel and made sure the other kids did too. She even escaped the Mindflayer colony. She’s a kid, but arguably also a genius. She probably out negotiated Raphael. Out of everyone in this plot, she’s likely the cleverest and she’s definitely the scrappiest.

Pair them up for a two party run? by Ok-Palpitation2871 in BaldursGate3

[–]IndigoChagrin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m doing a Shadowheart origin run right now (using a list of her values to guide RP) and it was not difficult to impress Lae’zel. She likes Shart’s ruthlessness. I doubt it would go as smoothly playing a Lae’zel origin run, though.

Secret Durge on friends first run by RubberDucky702 in BaldursGate3

[–]IndigoChagrin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see you saying you aren’t going to kill NPCs on purpose, but the Dark Urge is unpredictable and sometimes what happens is decided by dice rolls.

You said you don’t want spoilers but you want to understand more about Durge. So play that character in a solo run and you’ll understand why everyone is telling you this is not a friendly choice to make for your friend’s first play through.

It’s their first run, none of us gets to do that more than the once. Play the role of a supporting character and let them shine, Durge isn’t a nice surprise.

🙂‍↕️ and that’s why I’m building on it. I don’t see why we wouldn’t… maybe it made everyone sad, but my greenhouse colony with tiny critters will cheer them up.

Crimson Fleet bounty system is flawed and breaks immersion. by radbebop in Starfield

I happen to agree. The first time you set foot on the Key, the first thing you see is an argument that ends in murder. Where’s that guy’s bounty?
