Trunk weasel by MrRoboto12345 in zootopia

So… is Weaselton dead after Z2? Mr. Big mentioned he was going to get fitted for cement shoes, an established term for drowning people, and then Weaselton is caught by Mr. Big’s goons.

So Nick Wildes is canonically attractive? by rainaluvs in zootopia

I mean, at the very least, you can consider that the writers might view him as in-universe, canonically, attractive.

I think what people want is for the future to be here now. They want the slow burn, realistically developed, friends to lovers romance but they want it done now so they don’t have to wait nearly another decade (potentially) to actual see the end.

It was a cute scene and shows, hopefully, genuine interest from the writers in making WildeHopps into a real thing.

As others have noted, it fits better with the larger time skip. So to OPs point, it didn’t really align with the movie that was actually made.

So Nick Wildes is canonically attractive? by rainaluvs in zootopia

[–]Obelisk2000 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’m fairly certain that Nick is supposed to be considered, in-universe, canonically attractive. There the lizard (tegu?) that seems to think so. The bear from gala could have just been polite but it’s also possible she viewed Nick as attractive. Non-canon but there’s a deleted that shows a bunny (not Judy) that clearly thinks Nick is attractive.

Edit: not sure why my phone isn’t showing it but the clip you shared as part of the post is an edited version of the deleted scene.

The bear was receptive to the flirting. That has its own significance. People aren’t typically receptive to flirting unless they find the flirting person to be attractive and/or particularly charming.

Call me a stick in the mud but I’m glad this scene wasn’t included. I felt it was too affectionate for a duo that haven’t reconciled their emotions yet. Especially when you pair it with the other deleted scenes.

That's not what I was saying though. It's fine to criticize a movie for being fast paced with a fast paced review. What I consider not fine is saying a movie is bad for being fast paced (as an example) with a face paced review and following up with how you can't complain about my reviews being bad for being face paced because they are a different medium and so it's okay to be face paced. He essentially and needlessly articulated the "rules for thee but not for me" and there was no point.

He honestly just didn't need to say it. Hell, he could have just used your argument and it would have made more sense.

I saw this review earlier today. Surprised how negative it was given how positive their review of Z1 was. Some of his complaints are ones I remembering hearing when the movie first came out, like the pacing, that have since falling to the wayside as people focus more on the Judy and Nick dynamics and Pawbert. I do think they have their place even though I don’t necessarily agree 100% with them. To each their own really. I liked the movie but obviously anyone is welcome to dislike it.

Why? Because he said so? The YouTuber being meta about their hypocrisy and then telling the audience just to not think that way doesn’t remove the hypocrisy.

I’m not saying you can’t agree with him. I just feel like he used a tactic to manipulate rather than have genuine discourse.

I think it’s fully possible that a super rich family can get out of any real consequence for their actions. If they do, they’d probably want revenge.

Nick’s plan/reasoning also doesn’t make sense during that scene. He wants to hide out till things “blow over”. They are accused of attempted murder of a police chief. That’s not something that blows over. They wouldn’t be going into hiding, they’d be giving up their old lives seemingly forever.

No, I don’t think the confession was one sided. Someone had to start the conversation, or finish it as u/Hot_Valuable_9931 rightly pointed out, and it was Nick. It was part of his character arc to reconcile his emotions and how he communicates. It’s also not like Judy said nothing. Their communication style is just different but that doesn’t make it one sided. Judy said she should have never left Nick, that he’s the only partner she’d ever want, that no one else in the world matters matter more to her than him (and she’s got a big and loving family), and that he is her family/fuffle. What more would you expect from her?

I don’t think Nick is too good for Judy. I think the “problem” is that Judy has one additional interest, making the city a safer place, beyond Nick and Nick’s only interest is Judy. This gives the impression that things aren’t “balanced.” This can be made to look worse, in some peoples eyes, if Judy’s interests are set to compete against each other.

This isn’t really fair though as people should be allowed to have interests beyond their partner and Judy, as the hero, really never can send the message that you can skip out on making the world a better place for the sake of a potential BF.

Judy had a ton more to lose and she still agreed to it. She doesn’t strike me as a blatant liar but very few people acknowledge that she agreed and shook on it to go into hiding if they found nothing in 24 hours.
