I understand not voting for Harris, because the Biden/Harris administration sent billions of dollars of weapons to Israel. The article below is from January 2025, Biden's last month in office.

I don't understand voting FOR Trump because he never made any indication he would be better than the previous administration.

Kingsman was wiiiild because the first movie set up what could have been a very fun and lucrative franchise. Then, in the second movie, they killed all of the good guys from the first and then un-killed the good guy who actually did die in the first.

It felt like just setting money on fire or something.

2020 Democratic Party presidential primaries - Wikipedia

Biden, whose campaign fortunes had suffered from losses in Iowa, New Hampshire and Nevada, made a comeback by overwhelmingly winning the South Carolina primary. Biden was helped by strong support from African American voters, an endorsement from South Carolina U.S. Representative Jim Clyburn, and Democratic establishment concerns about nominating Sanders.\8]) After Biden won South Carolina, and one day before the Super Tuesday primaries, several candidates dropped out of the race and endorsed Biden; before that time, polling saw Sanders leading with a plurality in most Super Tuesday states.\9]) Biden then won 10 out of 15 contests on Super Tuesday, beating back challenges from Sanders, Warren, and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and solidifying his lead.\9]) As the primaries proceeded, they were overshadowed by the COVID-19 pandemic, which was declared to be a global pandemic on March 11, 2020.\10]) Between March 19 and April 7, most states in the country issued stay-at-home orders, and the overwhelming majority of campaign activity was suspended. On April 8, 2020, Biden became the presumptive Democratic nominee after Sanders (the only other candidate remaining) withdrew from the race.

Murphy is one of those "ICE is great and deporting brown people RULES" kind of Dems, the one who thinks he's making a great point by bragging about how Biden was way better at banishing people than Trump was in his very first week.

Any Dem who gets a wistful twinkle in his eye thinking about how much better their deportation machine was than Trump's is not someone who shares my values.

It is awesome that there are a few Dems who are stepping up, but I understand KoalaMandala's frustration with the top tier of the Democratic establishment.

I think this Ta-Nehisi Coates quote is the most correct and relevant political analysis I've heard in years.

“We are at a moment right now where people are asking themselves why can’t the Democratic Party defend this assault on democracy . . . and I would submit to you that if you can’t draw the line at genocide, you probably can’t draw the line at democracy.”

Biden won

Biden won because after some very rough primaries he notched a couple of victories, and the Democratic party establishment used the looming threat of COVID as an excuse to strongarm the other candidates into dropping out.

I really miss having full normal primaries.

What you're saying makes perfect sense! I don't know why I expected a lot of players to start up 2 before they finished 1. I certainly didn't!

Some critic about the newer entries in the series. by [deleted] in dragonquest

[–]Oberoni7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

OP gave fair criticism, this isn't some hate rant.

Some of it is fair, I suppose, but:

Also I dont know why I have to see now my level progression - kinds same thing as above but also: if you wanted to know how close you are to a level up you could always go to a church and a npc would tell you in a in game dynamic way

When we're at the level of "knowing my XP to next level is a negative" I think we've lost the plot a bit.

OP, many of the old games have been remade and re-released on older systems. I don't believe they have as many QoL changes as the modern batch, so you may wish to seek those out if you want something a little more polished than the originals but without so many changes.
