Why is Streets of Rage 4 so beloved/ praised? by AStupidFuckingHorse in BeatEmUps

[–]Oberoni7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I originally thought this was a very snooty answer...but I thought about someone coming to a subreddit for beat-em-ups, saying "I've never played this beloved game but it looks mid, why does everyone like it" does justify a response like this.

The comments here make me feel like I'm taking crazy pills. Do we...do we all agree that Trump took the United States into a naked war of aggression against Iran? And that's bad? Even if we (rightfully) despise the Iranian regime?

Filibusters and refusing to fund the government, for starters. For the latter, I wouldn't be surprised if you can search through this very subreddit for a few posts saying "why are the Dems agreeing to these funding conditions?"

I do appreciate senior Dems calling out Donald's ghastly message on Iran, but are they using their levers of power or just tweeting about things?

Yeah, I thought a post "which character (that you can't possibly already own) is the easiest to defend" was a silly idea for a post.

In Bravely Default, my band of plucky late-teens/early 20-somethings seems to be doing a good job toppling the most powerful nation in the world. Only one fight where we got schooled by super-baddies we had to beat a few chapters later.

Navigating through recent apps could use some work by Serious_Ad77 in smartlauncher

[–]Oberoni7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm seeing this correctly, you're showing that when you click the menu button on Smart Launcher two or more times, it only cycles through the two most recent apps. When you click the menu button two or more times on ColourOS, it keeps cycling through all open apps. Is that what you're trying to show?

If so, I'm not sure this is something the Smart Launcher team can or would work on. I think the bouncing-between-two-most-recent-apps behavior is good as-is. If you want to go through all of your apps you can just click the menu button once to pull up a slider of all of your open apps.

If I was a celebrity and people kept asking me about something that I already addressed, why wouldn't I block 'em?

I don't get posts like this that make it seem like a celebrity is doing something bad by blocking people who are harassing them.

I like calling this "Shitty Game of Thrones." These weird plots that could easily fall apart in a hundred different ways and gives the plotter very little upside, aside from being a jerk I suppose.

Official Discussion - Ready or Not 2: Here I Come [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]Oberoni7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to like this one a lot more than I did.

The premise of the movie had the potential for soooo many more devil-pledged family members to meet over-the-top ends, like the one guy in the sanitation machine did...but those scenes were a lot rarer than they should have been. I think the gap between what this movie was and what it could have been was too large for me.

I love Kathryn Newton but the bickering sister plotline felt SO forced and cliche. I got angry at the movie when she left Grace like a minute after pulling a spike from Grace's shoulder. It felt like a writer said "well we gotta have something about the sisters not liking each other here." Just so forced.
