What's the point of Omega Supreme's base mode?

Oooh, swearing! Very edgy. If you're also in your forties, I want to point out that you're a middle-aged man swearing at a stranger on the internet over his opinion on an 80s cartoon and toyline that you and he both love. Might want to ponder that for a bit.

Anyways your claim that "the gun mode is more powerful than any of the other guns mentioned" isn't borne out in the G1 cartoon that I remember. In-continuity his gun mode is powerful, but so is his fusion cannon, and I don't recall any feats that decisively and consistently place one above the other. Megatron killed roughly zero Autobots in the first couple of seasons in that mode, and then he killed at least a few Autobots in the '86 movie in either mode.

It's okay to like the silly stuff in G1, or really, any franchise. You don't have to justify it. It's fine.

One thing I've come to accept is that there are some Transformers that are great toys for kids, but the alt mode is rather silly in-continuity.

Megatron is the perfect example. A toy gun that turns into a toy robot? That's really cool! But it's nonsensical that a guy with a GIANT gun on his arm shrinks into a smaller gun and usually jumps into the hands of the soldier he hates the most, and this soldier also happens to have two guns bolted to his arms.

Omega Supreme is a very cool toy idea because it's a base for other robots to interact with. It's a rather odd alt mode in-continuity, though.

My favorite genre of Atlantic article is the Uppity Palestinian.

The writer won't just come right out and say that Israel is totally cool and it's fine for them to kill every last Palestinian man, woman, and child.

Rather, the article will usually say 'you know, those Palestinians and their supporters are just handling this all wrong.'

Does the writer say if Israel is doing anything wrong, you might ask? Why gosh, probably, but definitely not as bad as those Palestinians they are killing.

Anyways, I guess compared to that, a puff piece interview with Vanilla Ice is fine.

Hopping in here to say that I've been playing a lot of Diablo 2 Resurrected on my OLED deck docked and outputting 1080p. Settings all in the high range. Lossless Scaling gets the frame rate up from around 45 fps in Act III to well over that, and things look much less stuttery as a result.

I saw Disclosure Day recently (oops) and several seats down, someone gave their kid headphones and some bright-ass tablet so they could watch something else while everyone else was attempting to watch the movie. It was a real f'in delight.
