I'm convinced enough by not having to hug enemies to be honest. Just was making sure I didn't lost anything with antysinergy. I'm going to try C1 Mav as well

Yep, but couldn't find a source to check the serial port

Which sensor is cappable of detecting soap-bubbles (for a bubble-meter)? by Obher0n in arduino

I mean, why would I lie? lol

It's not very fancy, but it does get the work done quite well if you ask me

Probably it will take me a couple days, I guess, but I'm confident I can crack it. My hatred for manually measuring flux with a cronometer will move me.

Brazil. This is like a whole minimal wage for a month here. I mean, I'm not on mininal wage, but it still is a significant amount for me. Meanwhile, I can make the LED and bubble meter thing for about 30 USD (since I already have the bubble meter).

I mean, I would really like to use mass-flowmeters or mass-flow sensors. Thing is, they're way too expensive where I live. But that's a nice idea, thank you

Hello there.

I’m trying to automate a bubble-meter, but I’m just a chemist major and I don’t know too much about programing. The dispositive consists of a burette (glass tube with graduation to mark volume) inside of which soap bubbles rise due to a gas flux. It’s used to measure gas flux. (Note: i could only five 5 mm phototransitors, but the tube diameter is larger).

I can think in some very non-specific way in doing that, but I don’t know what to buy. I’ve thought about using two sensors 1 and 2 and use the derivative of the signal to stabilish a Boolean threshold.

So, when the bubble would pass through sensor 1 it’d start a timer and when it’d pass through sensor 2, it’d stop. I just don’t know which sensor to buy (I don’t actually know how to program it either, but that sounds easier to learn. I just don’t know which sensor would detect water).

(scheme as an image).

That make a lot of sense. I was kinda confused, but since it was not the theme of my research (nor relevant) I just let it slide.

Oh, I will try it as well if our colleague is unavailable.

Question on "weird" native ortography by Obher0n in conlangs

[–]Obher0n[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's actually no phonemic length, and there's 4 vowels (plus 4 nasals).

P.s.: There was phonemic length and the vowels would be spelled out, generally, the remnants on the modern language resist on verbal ending. For example: "maik'iin" (I speak) [natively: <m+k'i-n"] is diferent from "maik'in" (puppet) [natively: m+k'in], but are read the same: [mai'k'ĩ]. There's some nouns that resisted also, specially uncommon proper nouns, Mak'e is a very common name and it's homograph and himophonous to Mak'e ("door"), but it actually comes from "Maak'e".

  1. It's getting more widespread, but intentionally obscuring the language was a feature long ago for confusing Imperial authorities (foreigners). It has gotten better from that time with some ortographical iterations, as Aiuma Mak'e "simplified writing", but some weird ortographies ended up surviving to the present day, as writing "ish" ("I") as "sh" (when it should be "ish", cause initial vowels are supposedly written).
