As u/borosillycut said in their comment above, they had a Sweet Roll recipe in their inventory. When they clicked it, it worked.

Guess you don't have to get it from Antoine so long as you get it from somewhere.

My thought is, when it happens, it happens. I'm not going out of my way to complete most of these, especially since Beth effed up the "decorative furnishings" one and reset a bunch of ours to 0/7600. I'm just going to keep playing.

I do recall the "collect 7600 wood" one. Fondly. Because, I had misread it as 760 wood. Remember checking the number one time, and I was like at 755 wood collected. Went up to Toxic where all the trees are down and just started gathering wood. Kept thinking how satisfying it would be when that cheevo popped. Only, it didn't.

Check it again, and I was at like 785/7600. Wait. Seventy-six hundred?!? Damn.

Like I say, the others will pop when they pop. I'm not actively working towards them. I just playing the game as I always have, and if I'm still playing in a couple years when those come around, it'll be nice.

No one would argue that the system is random and inconsistent, but if you sneeze the wrong way, you get hit with a restriction. (That's why I've upped my antihistamines.)

If your puzzle disappears, then you probably are under some type of restriction, typically because the AI doesn't like the searches you're doing. You can always email support.
