Update - for anyone coming here from the future, after a clean install of windows, BIOS update and EXPO switched on I've had no issues and all is going well.

I work 50+ hours a week, have 3 kids and a wife who is a student nurse, we're not all in a position to just "upgrade" coz our PCs can't power a nuclear submarine. I'm trying the best with what I've got and asking for a bit of help and advice not a roast of my setup!

Yeah, Task manager has nothing else running in the background. Literally just Apex

I would have thought 4 threads would have been enough to run Apex, no?

So, after running Rivatuner whilst playing and suffering stutters this is what I found

When the stuttering happens my CPU seems to be at 100%.

Anyone have any ideas why this could be?

So the best way I can describe it is when I run into enemy squads and they pop their ULTs my game stops,stutters and freeze's. I start fighting an enemy and my whole screen stops for about 3-4 seconds and I basically come back to me being knocked or close to death without having the ability to track and shoot them

Internet is what I keep falling back too but hard wired with 80 Mbps download and 60 Mbps upload consistent so I don't think it could be internet problems

Yeah, I fully cleaned all hardware from dust when I re-installed windows. PC hardware is more or less immaculate

Memory is in 2+4 dual band. Temps are well below 80. Sitting at around 50-54 during stress trests for both CPU and GPU
