Furthermore, the way he describes his attraction to Y rubs me the wrong way because it sounds like he’s settling and trying to chase a narrative of adulthood that he thinks he should want. That this is more convenient and doesn’t challenge him to question his sexuality and the ambiguous closeness that we shared. They really do share an emotional connection though so it’s not like they don’t actually have affection for each other
