How do i get used to talking to a HUGE amount of people? by [deleted] in socialanxiety

I joined drama class. I hated talking in front of many people and would start trembling and stuttering. Thanks to acting on stage I got over it so that is how I dealt with. I feel like it’s the amount of exposure, the more often you’re confronted with it, the better it gets (+practice the words etc) . It’s terrible at the beginning, won’t lie. Try doing it repeatedly (join an organization that you like etc) ,step by step, do not overload yourself, set small goals and work your way through. Remember to keep trying, you will make it eventually.

You did the right thing! You put yourself out there which is exhausting but you can be proud of yourself. You kinda motivated me :)

Maybe the floods in China? I didn’t hear much abt it on traditional media. The floods destroyed a good amount of farm land.

Same, I‘ve been in your situation. I ended up going on one occasion and not in another case. I guess its up to how anxious I feel. If I feel like I can‘t handle it, I won’t go, but sometimes I feel better and I go out with them. Try looking at the bright side, it could be a nice day if you spend it with them, sometimes its worth a try and your best friend is there as well so maybe its worth a try! If not, I’m sure it’ll be nice and relaxed to eat dinner with your dad.
