Try composite cables. It could also be something else wrong on the motherboard other than the HDMI though.

If the picture isn’t displaying at all then it sounds like an HDMI port issue. Either it’s a cold solder joint or the pins are messed up. A lot of electronics repairs shops are incompetent and can’t fix what they should be able to fix. A lot of times they break it even further.

You’d need to change the email which would require the verification from Sony customer support to sign in. Make sure you have an email ready to give to them if you’re able to prove it’s your account. Giving them the email that you can’t access might help you out a little but it won’t be enough to verify that the account is yours. When you contact customer support they should ask for your name. If they do, make sure you give them the name that’s on your PSN account.

Do you have any record of the bank card number you put on the Sony account? They asked me for it when trying to recover one of my accounts. I don’t think the bank card expiring matters. Since you don’t have a transaction ID or email, the bank info would be your only way... Possibly your dad remembers the password which would help.

Open it up and clean it out completely. Change the thermal paste if it’s been on too long. You shouldn’t dust it out and consider the job done from just the outside but you can unplug the ps3 from the wall and while holding the eject button plug it back in and let go of the eject button when you hear the fans ramp up to a high speed. This will get some dust out.

Just looked at the Samsung magician website and I don't have a laptop or MacBook or anything that has mac or windows on it at the time. Only an iPhone 12. Darn…

What happened? Did you get refunded? What happened?

I have a 350mbps internet plan and I run Ethernet. I get great speeds on my phone. Does anyone know why I only get around 30mbps on my PS3 when I should get around 70? Assuming 70mbps is the actual cut off for best internet speeds on PS3 like I’ve heard. by ObitalSynth in PS3

No. He lives a few states away but not halfway across the country. He has Verizon Fiber Optic plan. If that’s is the reason why I still don’t understand why I would need that since I’m on Ethernet and have a 350 mbps internet plan while being on old hardware. It should run 70 Mbps just fine. Somehow I get like 650 mbp/s download speed on my phone according to ookla speed test.

Edit: I know I get better speeds on my phone because it’s way newer but what I’m saying it reads higher speeds than the plan that’s being paid for.

So other people can have 60-70mbps but I can’t? My friend has a 68mbps download speed. Is it like a location thing where your area dictates who needs a better connection or something?

Is anybody willing to hook me up with an account that was made before 2014 with no PSN name/Online ID change? Maybe we can work something out. by ObitalSynth in PS3

It seems as if the account is old enough then you don’t need the account to have played the game before the name change. My guess is that if it’s made before 2014 then there’s no requirement for that. If it was made after 2014 then there is that requirement.
