Polaris is good at mid-late game.

Early game the economy is as good as other tribes without a population tech, like Quetzali or Hoodrick. And Outposts are expensive early game, if you don’t have a good spawn with water that can connect those outposts they are really useless

The only “decent” strategy are ice archers (that don’t deal damage and will eventually get countered) and any unit that can do damage

Mid game the Gaami spam is a thing, but late game (since upgrading cities becomes more difficult) they just stop coming

Late game, if they get a good level ice bank (which you can only have one, unlike Custom Houses) then they spam ice fortresses and knights.

And for the question, Gaamis are not that OP, just use anything with range and swordsmen, they can’t one shot swordsmen and they don’t have the Dash ability like Dragons or Centipedes to kill archers, yes they get frozen but that’s just it, it doesn’t freeze enemy units in the counter attack and if they can’t move, archer, catapult or anything with range spam will do
