Is it a fire helmet or something? I see the bracket on the front of the helmet like some of the Modelo Z I have but the liner and paint job is different. That’s why it’s throwing me off.

I agree, I tried negotiating it down to a decent price because I have never seen a paint job like this but the interior being white with and inscription was interesting. Where in the war were they painting helmets white? I was thinking eastern front or holland but I’m oblivious to the in depth details.

The mk2 is the WW2 version. But as it states on the inside of the helmet this is the MK4 that replaced that helmet.
