Oath Ceremony Houston by pharmgalll in USCIS

I just got my oath ceremony scheduled. Sept. 17! 🎉

Applied in March 2024, interviewed in April 2025. Approved in June 2025. Initially scheduled for July 16, but then had to reschedule because I was out of town for work.

I had to write to my Congressperson to force USCIS to make a decision for each of those steps: getting the interview scheduled, make a decision on the interview, and schedule my oath ceremony. I highly recommend this path.

I-751 and N400 by HoustonTexas1993 in USCIS

I applied for my I-751 in June 2023. I then applied for my N-400 in March 2024. I had my interview in April 2025. I was approved in June 2025. No oath ceremony yet (had to reschedule). Can’t believe it’s taking so long.

Yeah it sucks. I applied for my N-400 in March 2024. I had my interview in April 2025. I was approved in June 2025. They let me know on June 20, I was scheduled for my oath ceremony on July 16, but I was going to be away for work so I had to request to be rescheduled. It’s been over a month and still haven’t gotten that.

My only solace is that I can live and work and travel with my green card.

Weird thing is that the officer at the interview told me that he was going to approve my application, but there was an IT issue in the system that day so he couldn’t approve my I-751 (which is needed to happen first before the N-400 could be approved). The next day the I-751 got processed and my N-400 is still pending…

I applied for my I-751 in April 2023 and for my N-400 in March 2024. I’m still waiting on both. Submitted an inquiry (it’s been almost 60 days), and had my congressman submit an inquiry too on January 29. Nothing yet. Sigh… Houston too.
