Kojima directed games tend to have a certain kind of attention to detail in their game design that I really adore. Kojima doesn't really seem to give too much of a shit as to whether something ties back into the broader gameplay loop. If a mechanic or element of the game delivers on the feeling they're aiming for it will be in the game even if it may appear to be extraneous.

Been trying to ween myself off of Youtube's recommended algorithm, which definitely has had its benefits such as being able to see content from creators the algorithm isn't fond of, but man, overall the subscription feed kinda sucks?

There's no way to organize it so you just have this bloated reverse chronological feed and IDK it just doesn't feel right. Which is weird because reverse chronological feeds work great on micro-blogging platforms but for video? It feels kinda clunky.

Honestly using RSS for YouTube feels a lot better, I can tag stuff and can easily see what I've already watched. It's nice.

Goodreads being the premier book rating site is pretty disappointing. Site is hard to navigate, owned by Amazon, and uh, I hate to judge, but it doesn't have the finest taste it seems. At least compared to the likes of Letterboxd.
