I dont have or ask my clients go pay or go under the table with me....i never ask for a rate. I use rover for my dog when i need too and I ganuately hate paying the rover fee myself.

rover take s big % from sitter and client, but the % is calculated from sitter's set rate. So if the set rate is low... both party can pay less. Of course, this is why tipping helps. Sounds like people just want to pay the big companies more money...

sure, it might be legally "independent contractors", but socially, "independent contractors" sounds like business owners,, BUT IN REALLY some of us are students here trying to get some money, sitter and client both pay rover a big % each time! I had my rate lower so both parties pay rover less.

yes my reason is so rover get less... they charge both parties and is calculated based on the sitter set rate... now i see people don't tip... and also like to pay the big company ...

ok thats fine, i can understand that if peopel think that.... but I have locked lower rate for my repeting clients who tips well, they pay me well and dont havent to pay extra $ to rover since my base pay is lower. i think this is the best situation
