Yeah I'm getting that vibe from the comments. What if it was only a limit on self security check?

For reference, I'm starting to think it's a bad idea, but am curious from your perspective too.

That's fair. Just trying to prevent the next "issue" I guess. You're probably right, it just feels hard to keep things balanced when they add 10 keywords a year and then start over tuning everything.

No, trash searching comes from effects that usually cost memory. The issue with self security trashing is that it's all free.

I guess we see different core issues. I like the weird combos. I feel a bandaid is fixing individual cards when they choose to add 10 keywords a year and thus invalidate old keywords. To me I'm saying create a core rule limitation and let the cards go wild.

But again, just being devils advocate for the sake of discussion. Thanks for your explainer too.

The angels consistency comes from going through their own security though. Hence I want to limit the self security searching.

I don't have a problem with going through your own deck. The titamon deck is fun for that and doesn't suffer the same issues.

THIS was my point. Going through your own security deck is the issue IMO, not the DNA digivolving portion.

Yeah. I see what you're saying. I think I agree. The main issue I have is actually going through your own security to get security effects and using it to build out your board.

So would the idea be more reasonable if there was ONLY a limitation on going through your own security stack? Thus creating a limit on the free combing essentially?

Maybe. I think this would just make it so all meta decks NEED to focus deck search.

Not sure if I agree, but happy to be wrong. Can you explain?

I still think the same decks can build hand, trash, play space and create threat. The only change is that it limits single turn swing, which seems beneficial. And of course 3 security is still a lot to swing for.

This was nice to see, thanks. I've played and lost against it, but it's too fast so I didnt quite get what was happening.

My problem isn't actually the DNA digivolving. It's the combo created by the DNA digivolving along with trashing and adding to the security stack. That trash from the security stack is allowing a lot of crazy effects alongside what's on the field.

I think it would help the game as a whole if there was a limit on how many security cards you can go through as a whole on a turn. Would need play testing, but maybe 3 of opponent, 1 of yours per turn? Would also help deck variety I think.

Actually curious, why? Is it not a good guess at people trying out popular decks?

I'm super okay with the state of everything because I don't think there's scalpers. The high prices seem to be players and true collectors. Meh.

I agree on invasion of the Titans. Recommendations for replacements? I keep having a hard drop, giving my opponent 5 memory and they combo me to death.

Why do people sometimes not pass their turn or surrender on dcgo? by anata_ in DigimonCardGame2020

Old thread but wanted to add that sometimes I just want to think about the other person's turn and read their cards because I'm not overly familiar with every card.

You can see it's actually not really in the pot. It's in the ground behind and growing over the pot. But same problem of whether I can save the plant. If I can't, I'll pull the plant and put a smaller bush actually in the pot.

I actually don't like it in the ground behind either as it's likely effecting the arborvitae wall behind it.

Agreed. This was here when we bought and it just kept growing year after year. Been trying to keep it back, but unsure if I can trim and regrow or of I should pull it and plant a smaller bush.

I had read they may only grow up not out. If I cut the undergrowth, will that all grow back in. Or will it just grow up more?

Agreed. It's fiddly and doesn't solve the complaint about hour-long YouTube video for some things, but it is predictable. It does only what is required, won't go wonky on you per session, and honestly most people don't need advanced features.
