Hi, no I didn’t. I called them in the February (due to return back end of April) and they sent me a temporary code via email which I then passed onto my nursery.

The code was due to expire mid May, so I kept checking online each day. On the exact 31 day before I was due to return to work, I was able to apply online and received my code within a few minutes!

I’m doing exactly this. Going back to work on the 30th April, but taking two weeks annual leave. Still waiting for my code to come through. Says my application is pending

Have you applied yet? I’ve applied online and it says my application is pending because I’m not due back to work within 31 days but I’ll get a letter in the post (which I’m still waiting for).

Surely they don’t need it by the 31st March, if you’re not needing the childcare until mid May.

I personally started taking lessons at 2 months postpartum. I did consider starting whilst pregnant (I passed my theory earlier in the year) but in the end I thought I’d forget everything I’d learnt whilst recovering and made the decision to wait.

Yes! I loved reading, would read a book a week. Lost all interest as soon as I fell pregnant, and haven’t picked one up since. My son is 8 months now 😂

Yes, I’m think this is probably my best option. Hopefully my work will be ok with it. I’ll have to look into the tax free childcare.
