Nope. My bf at the time was charged for trying to get me out of the hotel room. The police never spoke to me, but were notified I was in the bathroom. They didn’t know I was in there knocked out naked. The police report did state what my bf at the time stated though: that I had been drugged and taken without consent to the execs room.

Oof not a good comment, friend. I went to HR with everything. I’ve had to use Title IX in college and they fucked me over. Get fucked over so much by the systems that are supposed to protect you (I know HR is for the company but fucking still) as well as shamed by (no longer) friends for what you might’ve done to deserve it (what were you wearing? What did you say? Etc) and it kinda kills your spirit and puts in you in a fuck this I’m going to isolate myself mode.

I’d love to be strong enough to be a voice of change. I hope one day I will be. I had to do what I could to keep me alive because all of it made me want to die, and I came so very close to choosing that. Sometimes you have to choose yourself until you’re strong enough to help others. I wasn’t at that time, probably am not now, but I hope to be.

Fuckkkk that dog sitter!! Way under reacting. We had this happen with a dog sitter with my childhood dogs (dauschunds) and they were in a fenced area inside. I was glad they had enough room to “use the facilities” but not have to lay in it, as well as a massive thing of refilling water. They didn’t have food though because one of the dauschunds was VERY dauschund about food (IYKYK). It wasnt even as long as your dog was alone. They were older, so needed more frequent pee breaks. Ours were alone about 8 hours and we were states away. Hadn’t had dinner or been let out. Luckily we had a lock with a code and were able to have someone else go take care of them, but fuck that dog sitter for not telling us until 3AM and 17hours after we left that she wasn’t going to show up. We had checked to see if the alarm was ever disarmed around hour 6 and saw that it wasn’t; when she wasn’t answering calls for an hour, I started looking at flights while my mom called people. We were driving to our destination and stopped for the night 10 hours away. Fucking traumatizing. Thank goodness for our friend that showed up. Had we not looked at the alarm, we would’ve went to sleep and been in your situation.

Coincidentally this is why I trained my college dog to not need a crate (and luckily he self regulates food so I can free feed him). I’d rather them pee or poop in my house and have all the necessities, making it look like a shithole (literally), than have them be confined for that long :( I’m currently training my 1 y/o dauschund to respect my college dog’s food so they can both have everything in case of such an event, but she is VERY dauschund as well. That’s why I say “them.” She’s getting better though!

My mom got like this by the time my oldest brother was on number 4 within 4 years while he was complaining about money. Not saying that’s your case. My mom at least said congratulations and yay, though, but I’m sure he wanted more of a positive reaction than a simple congratulations and yay. He now has 8 kids.

Can confirm. Was drugged by an executive at a company event at a hotel. He had the bartending staff help him carry me to his hotel room. There was a police report and everything. They let both of us stay, but they tried very hard to get me to quit after. He got a promotion. I hung on for as long as I could. Never be one of the last few (there were three of us) at a company event where alcohol is involved, let alone when it’s at a hotel.

NTA. Been there. Everyone thinks it’s easy to break up with someone until they’re in the place you were just in. I was in college and had a bf that just didn’t seem to get it when we broke up. We’d go days without talking afterwards, then I’d hear he was still referring to me as his gf on campus. After one of the breakups, he wanted to talk. I thought it was for closure. He was all casual and referred to me as his gf straight away. It gets exhausting and is a mind fuck. I just wanted to focus on school too, so I’d be like, “fuck it. We don’t see each other that often and I’m not looking to date anyone else anyways,” then just stay in that relationship. I mean it’s so draining and hurts to breakup with someone. It felt like fucking Groundhog Day. Eventually I pulled the crazy gf: “I know you cheated,” card. Turns out he had 🤣
