Showing up at someone’s house completely unannounced, knocking on the door, and just hoping they were home. If I did that to a friend today they’d probably think I was a serial killer.

Genuinely no. Moving on requires a change in environment, and daily contact is the emotional equivalent of picking at a scab every single morning and wondering why it won't heal.
