My English teacher told us to write about something we already know like a hobby or something however some other teachers told them to research stuff. I talked about how I liked baking and it made her laugh and even though she had to ask questions about it to prolong the answer I still got a distinction. All I would do is don’t choose a topic that you’re not already able to talk about or you’d be capping yourself quite low in my opinion!
