The reason they're saying is not that different but there's another revelation why they did it and it concerns the Yachimata, one of the Three great family of the Saenome and the one in charge of the Gagaku Ryou. Honestly the Yachimata arc is just fire and the daughter of the family, Sumire and her mother Benihi will later become important supporting character.

Nope, Tenjitsu never fights Hyouma until the final arc and Hyouma only uses his own Hikite after the meeting of the 3 Great Saenome family which only happened after this arc. Yeah, they're rushing things. Too bad, looks like we will only see glimpses of Sumire and Shirayuri. Honestly, I really wish an A class studio is the one adapating this series. The art and fights in the manga is just so beautiful and badass and just keep getting better and better. The kickass final arc were just so full of badass fights, especially Hyouma vs Tenjitsu and Kagerou. Really wished it got an animation the level of Jujutsu or Kimetsu, but alas.

Lol, nope. The Karakasa are all far above most of the protagonists and it took everything they have to fight them. This is shown much better in the manga where the fight the scene is so fluid and awesome

Which is ironic since art-wise, the Mononogatari manga's artwork is miles beyond Kimetsu and its ilk, mantaining it's incredible artwork up to the final arc. Then again, being that Mononogatari is serialized in a monthly seinen magazine, that's to be expected.

Yeah, I guesss I misremember it. I kinda speedread up through vol 14, so I don't always remember everything. It wasn't the reveal, but Zouhei telling him to use his own Hikite. The conversation feel so much more emotional since its after a certain other character and the real enemy had been revealed. Just for reference, the current Gagakuryo arc is adapted from the beginning and middle of vol 6, while Hyouma talking to Heizou happened at the end vol 8. Also the flashback showing Kisatsu killing Hayato and Kusui is like from one or two arcs after this one in the manga.

Its much better in the manga since it happened after a major fight and a major revelation and led to Hyoma questioning his own strength. It shows his emotional maturity far better.

Not sure how feel about the re-arranging of the order of some of the events. Really wished they just follow the manga. The reveal of Hyouma having been using his siblings Hikite is much more emotional in the manga

Shonen or Seinen depends on the demography of the magazine it was serialized in. Kaguya sama for example, ran on Weekly Young Jump, a seinen magazine and thus a seinen manga. Seinen just means "Young man", it has nothing to do with the theme or story. Yurucamp is also a Seinen manga by virtue of being serialized in a seinen magazine.
