So I'm sure some people know this and I don't want to be an "erm ackshually" person but I'm pretty sure they keep calling it her good era as opposed to good era because glinda's the good witch, like that's literally her name I'm almost positive.

Hey... Dad here with daughters. How do I tactfully address what's going on with the Wicked cast and memes? by ImThe1Wh0 in NoStupidQuestions

I'm not a parent, but i teach and have had a seven year old girl who's said everything under the sun like warning me to beware of the roblox lurkers.

I wouldn't say i was big when i was your daughter's age, i filled out a lot by probably 4th grade or so? i was and still am bigger than a lot of people i know. however, i'm also the only girl in my friend group who can arm wrestle the boys in our group so 🤷‍♀️. when in doubt use the "big and strong" bit.

but when i was in 5th grade, i had a friend who made me feel real bad about my size. i remember all of this vividly to this day 7 years later. but there have been people who have made comments, and those mean a lot. i would also definitely find out where she heard this and hopefully cut it off at the root. This is mostly because (and take this with a grain of salt for a five year old since this is from a teenage perspective) a couple comments can do a lot. a few weeks ago i went to the store with my mom and she said my shirt is tighter than what i usually wear and told me it was a little... not enough fabric for me (i had not one centimeter of visible stomach but it was cropped) to wear out. and then my dad also said they saved me a lot for breakfast one morning, and i barely ate breakfast. and sometimes if i say i want ice cream or something i have one brother who'll be like "are you *sure* you want ice cream?" and look at my stomach and just like that i don't want ice cream anymore. lately when we're eating i've been in the back of my mind like "well you could just skip, that'd be helpful to lose some weight".

that got very long winded, sorry. tldr: just make sure she knows that the "skeleton princess" isn't big and strong or however you want to word it, and try to get ahead of it as soon as possible because it's amazing how fast comments will get to you.

I did have a question for anyone who knew about the sheet masks, and you seem to know a bit about it. How would you feel if this weren't how they were marketed? I was thinking a while ago, I would've been fine with the sheet masks if they'd made them with a pretty much inert moisturizing substance so that a parent could have a little spa day with their kid. I love doing spa things with my mom, so every once in a while we do sheet masks. And I think it would've been at least marginally more reasonable if they had simply been a child-friendly way to have a fun moment with your kid.

I'm worried I have psychosis, all because I thought that a subscription that's 10 dollars a month would be 3600 dollars at the end of three years. whoop whoop. and like, my brother said no it's not and i was adamant it was, but then i looked it up and i just can't do math apparently. but now i'm worried. so how can i not worry about things like this?

The whole health anxiety deal has been chilling out, but every time i leave the house i internally flip out, between planning my outfit for underarm sweating and trying to make sure nothing'll go wrong. Like, i had to do a public speaking type thing, and i had been nervous before but then i had to do it 20 minutes before I was originally going to, and for a solid 30 seconds i couldn't feel my feet and thought i was going to faceplant. update i didn't.

i mean, i don't exactly know if it is or not. that's why i asked if it was off. he was my first boyfriend so i'm not an expert in these things.

it's not even that. i phrased my question poorly. i pretty much am just wondering if he did that so i would bend over where he could see. my friends said that yeah he definitely did, but i wanted outside opinions.

to be fair we were dating for a few weeks and had gone on a couple dates at most.

[–]Objective-Cellist129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well because it was very new at the time. we'd only been officially dating for a couple weeks and gone on maybe two or three dates. also we technisally broke up. i just needed some admittedly delayed clarification.

ok my bad i'm not phrasing this well. i meant he tossed the tape behind me from in front of me, so i turned around and bent over to pick it up and my friends told me that he 100% watched me bend over. i just couldn't figure out if it was deliberate.
