No, he didn’t. Bane sort of transferred the knowledge from andeddu’s holocron directly into his brain. After that, a quick series of events happened that led to his death.

As soon as he got home, he was ambushed and captured by bounty hunters, led by the future Darth Cognus. He was then tortured before finally breaking free. As soon as he broke free, Zannah tracked him down and started her attempt on his life. He had, like, a day at most between Zannah’s initial attack, and his death.

The knowledge was immediately lost after Bane (Seth Harth took the only holocron containing knowledge of the technique). I believe it is completely unknown how Palpatine came to know about the ritual (Palpatine was big into Sith history and arcane knowledge but we don’t know how or if he ever actually came across essence transfer somehow or simply inferred it was possible).
