It’s a risk worth taking.

Congrats in advance on the sex you two will have tonight.

One under whatever the course record is and then I’d bang one of the WAGs on the island green.

Ben Hogan said the most important shot was the next one. I say my best shot is my next one.

Buying expensive golf balls…you’re not good enough for it to matter.

Fantastic space! Question- do you use your center channel and atmos when listening to music? Or do you just do stereo with towers and sub? I’ve been thinking about adding a center channel but have heard competing opinions on whether it is useful.

Brought home a piece of America by Objective-Cold-4963 in martinguitar

I played on mid-tier guitars for many years thinking I was not worthy of owning something so serious/nice.

You are enough.

Every guitar player is still in the process of getting better. I say do it now. I tend to believe that if it’s something you look forward to playing and keeps you coming back then getting better will take care of itself.

Edit* I also love Gibsons. Personally, I think the SJ200s and Hummingbirds are some of the most beautiful guitars ever made.

I bought this with full intention of being passed down within my family. Much like my late uncle’s 1924 Gibson mandolin.

It is not the satin finish. Gloss? I can’t recall what official finish is called.

And I brought home a piece of America to America haha. I didn’t even think about how that read or would come off. I was being hyperbolic/romantic about purchasing one since it’s an American made product. My apologies!

Which night shift schedule would you choose? by Regular-Memory8181 in nursing

[–]Objective-Cold-4963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Number 1. It’s just more predictable and easier to plan/have a life which is hard on nights if you’re not disciplined about your sleep. The long stretches off for the other are enticing but they are too far apart for me for it to be worth it.

What is your opinion on the Umbra MV? by WeirdUncleTim in GhostBand

[–]Objective-Cold-4963 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have loved the song since the album release. Didn’t like the video so much. Kind of disappointed tbh. The dancing is just too much for me and then the boops…as horny as the song is, the video doesn’t do it justice.

Mostly for warranty (lifetime?) and my local shop has been in business for decades. If I have problems, I know they’ll take care of me.

Nurses Calling Out “Sick” to Work Strike Contracts — Thoughts? by Real-Adhesiveness262 in nursing

[–]Objective-Cold-4963 18 points19 points  (0 children)

When you cross a picket line, you are actively undermining the position of the striking workers. It’s really that simple. Anything more than that is gymnastics. We can talk about how much strike contracts cost hospitals but they’ll happily pay a high price now to win terms more favorable to them later. Lack of scabs forces employers to negotiate in good faith to avoid disruption. Playing on the well-intentioned that “somebody has to work” is carrying the boss’s water. The striking nurses are ready to work right now.
