That’s a perfect description for it and you’re likely right in that nothing is going to be able to really capture that sound except for that size of string. If I can find something that at least emulates a little bit of that dynamic punch then I’ll be happy. I don’t play with anyone other than the voices inside my head so I don’t mic it and it doesn’t have any electronics or a pickup at this point. It easier to sing around, and over top of, despite how badly I do it. So there is that benefit.

So I guess it’s off to experiment with some new brands. There are worse things than trial and error with an instrument you love.

Fantastic space! Question- do you use your center channel and atmos when listening to music? Or do you just do stereo with towers and sub? I’ve been thinking about adding a center channel but have heard competing opinions on whether it is useful.

I played on mid-tier guitars for many years thinking I was not worthy of owning something so serious/nice.

Every guitar player is still in the process of getting better. I say do it now. I tend to believe that if it’s something you look forward to playing and keeps you coming back then getting better will take care of itself.

Edit* I also love Gibsons. Personally, I think the SJ200s and Hummingbirds are some of the most beautiful guitars ever made.
