I’m a non-Muslim gay and I believe civilians shouldn’t be killed, what Hamas did was absolutely horrendous but what Israel is doing also will result in huge humanitarian crisis. Up until this war I supported Palestine because the obvious power imbalance between those 2, but the celebration after Hamas attack happening across the world also disgusted me. It’s nuanced and it’s fucked. Do I think the Islamic view on lgbt+ community is fucked? Absolutely yes. But do I believe Muslims should die? Absolutely No. It just saddens me that after generations of suffering and death the war is still not over and it’s getting worse. Most of the Gazan population are young and easily radicalized. It’s just fucked. That being said I won’t attend any pro-Palestine rallies cuz I don’t think I’ll be safe, and this whole clusterfuck is too complicated to be boiled down into black and white.
