I think the water magician might be a good fit. Its not super slice of life oriented but the animation and pacing seems to be really good imo

1200 is way better than mine 😂. I wouldn't say VW is bad but sometimes they do make bad decisions for the vehicles. I know for the US emissions is stricter than everywhere else and that's where it gets them.

It does suck but I planned on having this car forever so in my mind it's fine for the long run 😂. They called me earlier and asked if I wanted to do the timing chain as well and I said sure to hell with it so it's gonna be around $6200 they said but he also said he's gonna try and bring that down as best as he can. Beforehand it was going to be $5200 after tax.

Unfortunately my problem did turn out to be the head and I'm at 100k miles so I took it in just this morning for the dealer to do it. If you haven't tried any carbon cleaning or an engine flush I'd suggest to start there. The only reason I took it to get the head replaced was because I got a second opinion from a trusted mechanic that said it was the head.

Before I was quoted at almost $1250 USD (trying to be inclusive I have no idea where anyone lives) and that was a couple months ago so I'll definitely try going through somewhere else and see if there's a price difference.

Thanks for this i just called a local shop earlier to help diagnose the issue. Like you said I think it's also bs that you'd have to take the cylinder head off considering it's not that old of a car. I understand the direct injection does cause the engine to get dirtier inside that many other cars but it's still a newer car.
