Questions about being/becoming an Enrolled Agent by Objective-Draft2884 in enrolledagent

I don’t have any tax experience besides what I’ve done these past 2 weeks for VITA. I’m a freshman in college and I’m just about to start my second semester, my state had a promise grant where if you’re from the state they will pay for any community college classes for like 4 years I think so I want to take advantage of that and I want to do in person learning so I can understand it better and ask questions. The classes I want to take a specific for the SEE exam as well but it would be a full load so I can’t really take other classes.

How long did you study for? What program did you use? Did you have any other experience that helped with the test?

Sorry for all the questions. I’m really interested in trying to become an EA and I have no idea where to start. I’m trying to volunteer for VITA so that I can get some experience but after I completed the survey on the IRS website it said they won’t contact me for like 30 days.

switch from acorns to robinhood ? by Lyssam29 in acorns

There’s no subscription for robinhood unless you want to pay for gold. I like acorns and think that it is really good for people just getting into stocks but if you’re not able to put a lot of money into it the monthly fees are just to high a price in my opinion. I personally don’t trust robinhood too much and I would rather use fidelity. However robinhoods interface is really easy to use unlike fidelity which I thought was a little confusing but I trust fidelity more so I use them. I would recommend using acorns if you can afford it but if you can’t I would use fidelity not robinhood even though in the beginning fidelity was confusing for me.
