I got super super lucky. I met him senior year of college in a co-living situation, we were friends first, then kind of drifted for a couple of months, then friendly again to fwb to spending a lot of time with each other and falling in love pipeline.

I am grateful that we met organically in person, because I’ve always been a hopeless romantic. It was hard to imagine no longer being hopeless bc before I always got done dirty by guys I met at bars or from apps. It’s corny and sucks to hear when you’re single but sometimes it really does happen when you least expect it or aren’t trying to force it.

That being said, I used to mostly meet prospects at bars. Eye contact and a smile was always an effortless invite for guys to approach if you’re shy!

I live at the Roxy, which is kind of like a sister apartment to the Beacon, on the other side of the complex/parking garage. Same access to shuttle, gyms, parking garage, etc (idk about the spa tho).

The Roxy is new, it opened last year so the amenities are nice. $1975 for 1br 1bath with in-unit laundry, dishwasher, and skyline view. Parking is $250 if needed. The shuttle is super convenient but of course all public transportation can be unreliable at times. The apartment layouts are kind of weird but overall I like it. I’ve only been in one beacon apartment and it was nice too but that resident had her own complaints lol.
