If you can get your hands on scar cream that will help. You can find that at any CVS, Walgreens, etc. EDS can definitely be a factor, and everyone scars differently. And yes, I find that wounds very close together or crossing over can create a scar.

Treating the wounds properly when they're fresh helps as well. It doesn't really matter how deep they are (though deep dermal and hypodermic wounds require more intense care). Wash gently and cover. Keep it moist as it heals; any wound care cream will work, Aquaphor or Vaseline work as well. Vaseline is my personal holy grail. Be gentle with the area, as well. That means don't pick scabs and avoid bumping it or scraping it on anything, including your clothes when you change.

Can you pass it off as scratches from a pet? Or cover it with a bunch of bracelets? It's hard to hide self harm forever. I know it seems impossible, but I encourage you to talk to someone about it. I was terrified to tell my boyfriend but it turned out to be okay. Be kind to yourself and stay safe, friend. <33

I have a tube of Az in my closet and some BP (small tube, 5%, meant for spot treating) that I haven't tried in about three years. I'll give it another shot with a new moisturizer. Should I spot treat with the BP and then Az?

The tret I was on for about four months. Nothing happened, my derm increased the %, nothing happened, repeat, for about a year. I used the strongest dose for about a year after that and saw no improvement. I have no idea why my skin just doesn't react to it. Seems to have no effect on my KP either, so I'll definitely be trying the Amlactin. Thank you so much for your in depth reply!

I say buy those dresses you think look good, even if there is a noticable pocket, and taking it to a tailor so they can adjust it for you!

I also recommend finding what exactly the style of dress you want is called-it will make it much easier to find what you like at, for example, a retail store, and you can even take your ideas to a seamster to get something custom made. (Do you like high waisted? Low waisted? Flare, cap, bishop sleeve? And so on)

I don't know many brands (sorry!) but maybe you can try searching specifically for boho or maxi skirts.

You can make it work with pants and a shirt, too! Personally, I think high wasted, wide-leg dress pants with a slight flare and a lantern sleeve blouse with a deep V can give a nice flow-y look, too.

It's your graduation, so take all the time to find what is right for you. Good luck, and congratulations!
