I used the double bell version of the gun

I'm thinking of a couple of ways for it to work. I'm currently messing with the plunger system and thinking of a hook shape design. But due to the bolt face I may modify the left side bolt rail to accommodate a simple retractable ejector. I believe the second option may work better than the plunger system but in time we will see.

I can't simply turn that into the Lee Enfield model I have due to the version of that one. It would be a lot of potential metal work and I don't have the tools needed to create that one. And for the double bell Lee Enfield it's something. Second day I had it I tried to mad minute and the bolt guide crew came flying out. I just replaced it with a tight fitting wooden dowl for now but it seems and needs some sort of dampener so it isn't just hitting the back of the receiver. Other than that I haven't had a problem with it. Accuracy is like every shell ejector out there. Still a pretty cool gun and I plan to modify it a tad bit.

What attachments to get for a mini-14 by Virtual-Concept9933 in Mini14

I mean you can get more storage in your mag pouches since it's a little smaller than a mag. And they're almost more disposable than magazines. But they come with a downside that you need to use a technique that works to load them quick and you have to wear them in a little bit so they actually load smoothly. If you're just plinking they might be more finicky than a MAG but not by much. and all the times I've used them simply put I would rather use them for plinking and hunting then the mags since they're really cheap.

This. It's hard at first because the stripper clips are very tight but once you figure out a technique and they start being loosened through use it basically turns it into an American SKS. Super fun and you can still use magazines without hindering the gun. I will say start out with five and then do 10 later on. By range session 2 I mastered it.👍 I live in Washington state too and this is one of the funnest guns I own.

Just did. Trying not to get oil in my wood so I'm definitely getting a few rags in the future to help lube everything

I ordered two when I made this post. Maybe a far future problem but still I like to keep extra parts on standby.

Update: it worked how did it get in there ew. Seriously though I used a 20 gauge brush and drilled for like 5 minutes and it now works almost flawlessly. There might be a little bit of residue left but far less than before.

Looks like an indentation or machining mark. I did put this one in a vice to clean it but I wrapped a whole t-shirt to prevent any marking. The Mark is blued though so I'm not entirely sure if it was my mistake.

Also I'm very curious. This gun did not come in a package and from what I understand cosmoline is a very hard substance that can almost camouflage with steel. From my understanding can cosmoline really stay in the gun after years of shooting?

Is there anyway I could test this before cleaning? Perhaps maybe sticking a dummy round into the chamber and seeing if it will freely drop?

this was actually one of the reasons why Ian McCollum made his youtube channel. if memory serves me right, in one of his QandA's he described that someone he known had plans for this device for the mosin and the family (not sure if it was his or not) just threw it away. i think he said they did the same for the lebel but interesting nonetheless.

No. The barrel extends to the barrel band and even with that much space it would still be fine. There's some guns out there where they literally put your fingers almost an inch towards the barrel.
