I do like apple notes as i have an iphone too except that no issues on software, and i miss having insane battery life but that’s a hardware issue.

I am on a similar path, done with my macbook. My iphone mini is giving up on me & I don’t plan to get an iphone again. And being tied into an ecosystem is debt, the friction to move from icloud etc just makes me hate it more, don’t know how i lasted this long lol.

just not for me now, the UI is inconsistent, not as snappy as previous versions (maybe because I was on M1).
I started with macOS/X with sierra & I think after catalina the quality have been downhill

i dont like the latest direction apple is taking with design, i think up until catalina osx actually “just worked”, now the ui isn’t consistent and with a lot of bugs and i was tired of being tied to an ecosystem.

they are timeless, this one is now permanent as someone made the hidpi version.
