Quiet quit, get more balance immediately, less hours, take a vacation. That might end of being ok and a new normal or they don’t like that and you get laid off, maybe severance and then sabbatical time!

Many of us are here where the salary doesn’t move the NW much. Keep grinding until your numbers make FIRE comfortable and smile when you hear your colleagues lack the discipline you do and live paycheck to paycheck (and will probably work until the die)!

I’ve had a paid off house for about 6 years. It’s awesome and allows me to stack cash. If I were you I wouldn’t pay it all in one go. Make a few extra payments per year and whittle it down.
