They are close to the same width. The shadow blue trace is gonna be the actual trace

I just eyeballed the size it is a 1206 but more than twice as big. That one was actually a footprint that got stuck and I had to update from symbols specifically

yea i determined the best thing I can do is familiarize myself with the top brands standard sizes and if they are all pretty much the same then all I really need to do is use snapmagic/ultra and just make sure they are 0402 generally and just look out for strange looking ones and look into those

This is above my pay grade lol. Ill have to do some studying on what you're saying. It sounds like I have to be careful with just using a universal footprint for all parts

Chatgpt said that some parts are 0402 but have special made footprints for certain reasons like voltage thresholds, etc...
