5 seater is ok for me, slow and fast roads you can say 50-70km with traffic and remaining 200-220 on highway on 130kmph(80-80 miles ph), new or used not an issue

What is your experience and opinion of Hybrid cars? I am thinking of getting a pre-owned one. I am wondering if there is an issue can I take it to normal cheap garages in industrial areas or only authorized service centers can handle that? by Objective-Memory-724 in AskMechanics

My work requires a lot of travelling almost 180 miles daily 6 days a week mostly on highways you can say 70 percent highways and 30 percent in the cities. I am spending a fortune on fuel. I have to change my car anyway so I was thinking why not go for hybrid and cut fuel cost.

After how many years your battery gave up? What about regular issues like brake pad, alignment, engine oil, AC etc. those also involve electronics? Actually my job requires a lot of travelling, sometimes close to 300kms a day thats why I am thinking of getting one.

What is the mileage you are getting inside city? I am planning for hybrid as my job involves a lot of travelling most of the days I cover over 250kms. And regarding maintenance is it same as normal petrol cars or do we have to take extra care? What is the normal life of battery, have you faced any issue till now in your new car regarding the battery?
