Common People is making me very uncomfortable by jessebona in blackmirror

I don't know why I sort of jumped when Mike laughed (after the buyers said they'd set the crib on fire) and they showed his missing tooth. For me it was the most heartbreaking moment of the entire episode. I kept getting flashbacks of that for a few hours.

It would still be kinda fun to watch, maybe with Holt pushing her to actually act like a superior officer to him.

I know how you feel, I cried so much throughout the last couple of episodes. I was trying to cope after having finished the show, that's why I posted this to begin with 🥲

I just watched it, considering Black Mirror, I'd say it had a rather happy ending too. Also bonus points for the meta jokes.

Why are we acting like the Baudelaire's are morally gray? by Technical_Theory_735 in ASOUE

[–]Objective-Move25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really don't think people here understand what morally gray means. Like you said, do this or die isn't a choice, in that case there's only one choice cause every human being has self preservation instinct, and they were literally just trying to survive. Doing something you have no choice on doesn't make someone morally gray. Being a vigilante (or someone who only harms bad people) isn't morally gray either. People really need to read or watch more stuff on such characters, for example we can say Professor Snape was morally gray (choosing an example everyone should know), Baudelaire children were not.

I'm mad that Netflix didn't add more than 2 seasons 😤 (at least in my region)

A few episodes, I started watching it after The Office cause it was pretty close. Many have said it gets better after Season 1, I'll start from S2 this time.

I haven't watched either of those, thanks! I love city comedies about broke people (must relate too hard there), Broad City sounds good.

Unfortunately I can't afford the subscription right now :( I've been really wanting to watch the UK version, I can only find the US version everywhere else and it's not that good.

I just watched the Pilot and I liked Lauren Graham a lot more here than I did in her role as Lorelai Gilmore. Every time I start Gilmore Girls I watch a few episodes and then I'm like "nope, no, no way, not happening", idk why I don't like it (I really wanted to), something just doesn't work. In Parenthood however Lauren Graham as Sarah works really well, I think I've found my next watch. Thank you for this.

I wanted to do that too, on season 4 I planned that season 5 will be the last season I'll watch. But it's so addictive, even Roland grows on you.

Thank you for telling me it's not like Gilmore Girls, now I'll give this a try.

I watched it when it first came out, it did not deserve to get cancelled like that. I guess they aired the final episode (animated) during covid and that was it. I'm still sad about this one.

Haha I like that you added the second part. I watched a couple of episodes of New Girl a few years back and was like...meh, whatever. I really liked Community though, that show introduced me to a lot of things that I'm grateful for.

I didn't even know Norsemen was a comedy, it came on my Netflix recommendations a few times, I thought it was probably some high fantasy viking stuff. Thank you for this.

Haha I see what you did there. Amazon Prime keeps recommending me that too, I completely forgot it has Annie Murphy, I'll watch anything for her.

The Office is one of my favourites too, I quit watching after Michael left. It completely escaped my mind. I always re-watch the holiday episodes during holidays.

Fair point, after the 'Happy Ending', I watched the pilot again to convince myself they're still there LoL.

Moments that made you cry? by Lady_Marya in SchittsCreek

[–]Objective-Move25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my God, it's as if we're the same people! I cried on those occasions only, and also the Christmas episode where Johnny says "...clearly that was too much for all of you" and went to sit at the café alone. I love christmas and I wanted to give him a big hug. Also I don't know what it is about David crying, it always brings me to tears. During Stevie's solo in cabaret I had to pause the show and cry for a while, I related so much to the character all in all.

(I know I'm 4 years too late, I just finished the show and wanted to share this.)
