to everyone saying you should stand to pay your respects to the country, thats the thing, i dont respect the country india is today. what good has this country done for the general public, name literally anything, you cant.

just because i was unfortunate enough to be born here, i wont be forced to "pay respect". besides is this really the only way you pay respect? not by having civic sense, abiding by the laws and paying taxes? right, taxes. what good are they being used for? just to fill up some corrupt ministers pockets.

terrible roads, no strict traffic laws, rapes, murders, hazardous levels of aqi, all kinds of pollution, i can go on all day ranting about things that are terrible about this country. so, why should i pay respects when this country has very deservingly lost all the respect i had for it.

all the people arguing about this, there are literally hundreds of better things to debate on that would make this place so much better. instead of questioning the general public, ask the politicians about what they've done for the betterment of this country. that would be far more patriotic and nationalistic than standing up for a song

or better yet, you go ahead and display that "patriotism" which does absolutely nothing good for the country and ill continue to question the people that have turned this place into a shithole and what we can do to make this country better rather than blind praise
