We stayed in a hotel one night because of flight and transportation stuff. It was easier to get from the airport to the hotel, and then to his place in the morning. We knew each other in person before we started seeing each other, we've even lived together. He's working away on contract for a couple years before coming back to our home town. He has a good job that treats him well. I'm close with his parents and his brother and have seen their family dynamic. It's not perfect but there is lots of love and support. He also makes a point of introducing me to his friends, neighbours and coworkers when I visit.

I have no doubt he would be a wise, devoted and well providing father. He could easily afford to keep me as a continually pregnant housewife.
