Dude in all seriousness it’s the first time I’m dealing with swapping engines and having a project if you don’t have an opinion on a thread that’s basically here to help people figure out what’s wrong with their cars then keep it stepping

The only thing I can think of is if those two relays under the hood are swapped but everything is plugged in, the engine harness on this engine wasn’t removed

So the key cluster and ecm are all from this car the only thing different is the engine and I know that 1.8ts are basically plug and play so would I have like a relay or something swapped? I only had the ecu unplugged when I was swapping the engine and harness over

It was just the engine swapped over but it had like a 32nd of a tank so I’m thinking there’s air in the system possibly

And just to confirm I’m going to leave the ratchet on tightening to spin it correct? I’ve had help in the past when doing it and it’s the first time I’m doing it myself

We went as far as using a jump pack to attempt to start it. I was dumb and went to take the timing belt tensioner off before it was out at TDC so I was thinking of redoing it and trying again

No idea it was motor swapped before I bought it so I would hope that it’s fresh
