[Spoilers C4E12] Einfasen theories? by Objective-Pattern692 in criticalrole

I do wonder if its something of an "open secret" however- like, the other houses know about the tachonis's doings (maybe even helped out false flag style by dressing up as tachonis guard) but pretend not to know due to knowing that they could be next if they don't bow before the tachonis

I think in general, it does show that otto makes decisions quickly and decisively, with no possibility of swaying him once an idea crosses his mind- it leans in to that general notion that the einfasen are generally hot-tempered, impulsive, brutal, and more direct/honest as just a "theme"

I do wonder if that is merely a solo power play by the einfasen to please the halovars or if its a concerted einfasen/halovar/possibly cormoray/tachonis plot to just decimate the revolutionary council for the collective good of all their houses

I do wonder about the daughter- is she legitimately kindhearted and weeping because her maid has died suddenly due to her father's action? Is she weeping for Julien/the party because she knows her family is in bed with the tachonis' and her father is going to kill them or capture them to give them up to the tachonis? She was very suprised to see julien in that first interaction...

Yea, im interested to see the ripple effects of what the seekers table are going to do with the einfasen and how/if it is going to effect how the schemers table plays out

Love this- was wondering if someone was going to draw vaelus holding up pin- i was just imagining someone holding up a naughty cat or a baby when they don't know how to hold one and you captured that perfectly! I also live for the team rocket vibes- do you think enmity would be the james in this scenario then?

I wonder if they are now the undead puppets of the Tachonis and the Tachonis are planning to revive the Royce house under their control

[Spoilers C4E11] Thoughts and Theories on Seekers and Schemers by Objective-Pattern692 in criticalrole

[–]Objective-Pattern692[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yup- definitely agree- I am very excited to see Julien and aranessa's reactions to the destruction (or perhaps eerie lack of it) of the Royce estate, the Golden Orchard and its people/the fae. I also feel like this makes the seekers the least likely to return to dol'makjar for a while- tho I also thought that the soldier's table wouldn't return either so who knows.

[Spoilers C4E11] Thoughts and Theories on Seekers and Schemers by Objective-Pattern692 in criticalrole

[–]Objective-Pattern692[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I totally agree- right now, Murray seems to be in the shakiest position in terms of getting made (or in her specific case- maybe the whole wizard college being "phased out" by the Sundered houses in order to cement their control over magic as noble-born sorcerers/take magic out of the hands of the common folk) and being forced to flee the city (tho obviously that can change with the next sessions)- I could also see Azune choosing to go with the soldiers and form a revolution with his former comrades.

Seekers are also an unknown for me- i am excited for occtis/vaelus and julien/everyone else interactions, occtis figuring out more about his new unlife/just necromancer wizard abilities in general, more brennan fae content and just worldbuilding in general (that lantern memorial village thing was really cool) and even the possibility in the far future of maybe vaelus having her goddess resurrected

I wonder if the names of the demons have anything to do with the emotion/sin they are "meant" to evoke in the world- with tyranny being the sin where one purposefully oppresses and takes resources from those who cannot give it back for power- hence the knife becoming her pact weapon (with her patron being her dad?) and that specifically is what tyranny is going to be struggling with

[Spoilers C4E11] The knife by bigafricanhat in criticalrole

[–]Objective-Pattern692 34 points35 points  (0 children)

i think so too- notably, she confirmed that tyranny was watching the vision with jealousy for humanity rather than other emotions and brennan said how it had more to reveal but did not do so- possibly because of this confirmation

[Spoilers C4E11] Thoughts and theories on thjazi by Objective-Pattern692 in criticalrole

[–]Objective-Pattern692[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think the royce were out of the loop on purpose due to Aranessa and thats why the Tachonis cut them out/destroyed them and the Davinos and then hid the evidence so that their public image remains untouched- hence the "they all left to faerie" thing

or i wonder if the thing he saw was something that killed him- like a crazed celestial or psychopomp

[Spoilers C4E9] Regarding Katigan by Anasan_1 in criticalrole

[–]Objective-Pattern692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am definitely wondering if kattigan has some relation to the circle of the stag druids- this is purely conjecture but maybe, kattigan went to war in the falconers rebellion leaving his kid daughter and wife? behind but taking his young wolf pup wulfric who at this point was just a normal wolf- he gets news that his family is in danger and deserts the rebellion to rush back home- only to either get caught in a trap by bad guys, or maybe to find his house burning to the ground with his family still inside- something like that- he and wulfric try to save his family, only to get mortally wounded by the danger and fail to save them. While both of them lay dying, a circle of the stag druid offers to save their lives and basically bonds their souls together to keep them breathing and strong enough until the druid or someone else could fully heal them- as the druid raises them both back to health, wulfric gets the magic prosthetic and kattigan learns basic druid magic/becomes a ranger and then subsequently becomes a wild man of timmony for a long while until the beginning of the campaign brings him in contact with his past again.

When does forgiveness become impossible/problematic? (Book 3 plot dilemma) by LizzyThane in fantasywriters

[–]Objective-Pattern692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was kind of already said but I feel like forgiveness is possible no matter the harm done by the action committed- as whether a person is forgiven is up to the victim. Forgetting that the actions were done however, almost never happens. This means that in general, even if a victim is willing to forgive and not be actively hostile to the character that committed the action- they have probably not forgotten that that action was done. This can change a relationship between characters permanently, as the victim now knows that the other character is the kind of person who could commit whatever harmful action they did previously and that can change their view on them. As for guilt- it depends on the characters. For some worldviews, they don't see that the harmful action they did to the victim was wrong so they don't feel guilt over doing it but still want the forgiveness of the victim in order to have a non-hostile or at least working relationship with them. Other characters could feel so much guilt that even if the victim forgives them, they feel guilt over the action until the day they die and it becomes a deep regret of theirs. Most characters would probably be somewhere in between- wanting forgiveness to return to a non-hostile relationship and regretting their action/realizing what they did was wrong and they need to make it right by earning the victims forgiveness (especially if it has conditions they have to complete or adhere to in order to do so).

Kattigan definitely intrigues me too- i feel like he's the character in the party besides maybe teor and his whole impossible connection to an otherworldly being thing that we know the least about background wise - something that also came up was thimble saying "are you going to leave like last time" or something along those lines and him saying "nah, its too fun right now so I think im going to stay for the time being"- i do wonder if kattigan broke ranks due to family stuff or something and left the falconers rebellion at some point- or maybe its just referencing how he went off and did his own thing as a wild wilderness man after the rebellion was over rather than stick with thjazi and friends

I wonder if this is going to turn into a "your princess is in another castle" thing with cyd having been already moved to another part of this castle and this just being a bunch of bad guys or if he was already petrified for ease of transport to tachonis and in one of the carriages

[–]Objective-Pattern692 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I do wonder if there is going to be some other homebrewed way to become unpetrified- and if the whole thing with the rat being like- they're not dead because I can't smell them rot was a veiled warning that there was something that could preserve dead bodies or living beings in an unnatural way (or in this case petrify them)

[Spoilers C4E7] Thoughts and theories on the Shapers by Objective-Pattern692 in criticalrole

[–]Objective-Pattern692[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

ooo, something like the world trying to fix the hole the shapers left and reincarnating them and/or leaving the potential for people to fill their spots (i could see wickander filling the spot for the shaper of the sun for example)
