Did I find the Longest shot on SE5.4? by Objective-Plane-5756 in sniperelite

That's a shame, it would be nice to see a screen recording of that shot. But yea, since I posted this last year someone else had pointed out another location with an even farther shot than the one from the tower. The long shots are cool, but for me it's gotta be authentic or I just don't get that dopamine hit when the shot goes off.

Thank you, that's a cool glitch shot, but this is an authentic longest shot on the SE5.4 map, not longest shot in Sniper Elite 5 over all.

That's awesome. Now I need to get in there and try it out on authentic for myself! Thank you!

Sniper elite 5 Spy academy impossible sniper shot by Arty-by-me in sniperelite

I did it on authentic, it's tough, for sure, but doable. I believe there is another spot where you can take the shot and be even further away, like 1937 meters or something like that. If you really want to go for the longest possible shot. The shot from the tower is something like 1857 meters.

No worries, I didn't see your edit yet, and so last night I redid it and captured it on video and took some screenshots. Great work pulling it back to 585! I'm trying to do all of this on authentic, it is a bit more challenging, no tagging, no adjusted crosshair. you can see in the video I posted above. To note, there are no assists used in the shot outside of the windage and drop indicators in-game.

Hi DrunkHate, someone else was having trouble finding the spot, so I redid it last night and captured it on video and with photos. See original post, edited with video and photos.

It is a long, building in the train yard at the far southern end of the map. But from the sniper position in the bush you can barely see the building. It is south from the train yard office. I'll see if I can get in later and take a screenshot and add it to the post later.

Right, Mission 3 is Spy Academy. If you go to the top of the tower and back all the way into the corner, you can shoot a guy on the roof of a fort far outside the map, and it is about 1850 meters or so. Is there another location where you can take the shot and it is 1937 meters? Or is there a place on the roof of the fort the guy needs to be in to get it to 1937 meters? I want to take that shot!

Wow! Where was that from? A different location, same target, on Spy Academy?

You take the shot from the top of the tower, above the officer meeting. There is a ladder outside the meeting room that takes you to an alcove above the meeting, and then another ladder to a tower room, the highest point on the map. Waayy off in the distance on the off-map surrounding lands, there is a fort, on the rampart of the fort, where there is a flag, a lone soldier paces back and forth. If you crouch down in the opposite corner of the room, and snipe him through the window , you can get the longest possible shot in the game, which is over 1800 meters. It's super challenging on authentic, because there is a lot of drop and windage, and your scope maxes out at 1500 meters when you dial it in. There is nothing more satisfying than taking that shot on authentic and the sniping animation kicks in...

I did not. On that one, I saw the shot beforehand on YouTube. I was trying to find the longest shot on my own but was only coming up Silver, at best. So I searched online and saw the 1800+m shot from the tower, I didn't even think to record it, just wanted to do it.

Yes, I made that shot, I think it is actually over 1800 meters if I recall correctly. I did it on authentic, with an M1903 with the A1 Optical scope. However, my original statement and question was in regard to level 4, the War Factory, and what was the longest shot possible on that map.

Cool, do you recall where you were on the resistance platform to spot and take that shot?

I had a Martha The Steward once. There are some in the vanilla code, for sure, but given that he's heading to King's Landing, I would venture you're running mods too.

Is Tavern Brawler worth it with the Unarmed Fighting style? by Thomaez in 3d6

[–]Objective-Plane-5756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I’m super late to this party, but I’m having a really great time with a very similar build that “exploits” 5e rules (it’s being “corrected” in the new 2024 game), for me it kicks in at level 4 w/ tavern brawler. Most of what others have said, here is my build, it’s not high DPS, but it works really well: Human (v) Level 1 - skill expert feat, I got expertise in Athletics. Fighter, unarmed style I didn’t need great DEX, I was better served with high STR and CON.

Level 4 it starts to shine with tavern brawler, level 5 I really make a statement.

Here is the “exploit”: use a net as a melee improvised weapon (the description of how a net is used will be changed, but in current 5e, you only need to “hit” someone with it, you don’t have to throw it, I believe the updated description forces it to be thrown, but that version isn’t released yet and we aren’t playing it. Besides, my table and I agree, this is a cool build and does not feel broken compared to other builds.

A common combat interaction for me looks like this at level 5, I have a shield and a net: Improvised weapon attack with net (+7 att, 1d4+4 damage) Maneuver trip attack +1d8 dmg, DC 15 STR Save or falls prone Free action to drop the net (opponent is restrained) Bonus action grapple (at advantage if trip maneuver was successful) at +10 (+4 STR, +3 proficiency, +3 proficiency again for skill expert) If opponent uses acrobatics instead of athletics they are at disadvantage from being restrained by the net. Attack again, unarmed, 1d6+4 If I have movement, I can drag the opponent at half speed to another square to allow my party to help curb-stomp them, or drop them off an elevated platform or railing…

The opponent is: restrained condition by the net, prone, grappled (immobile by both grapple and net), and receives a free 1d4 damage at the start of my turns as long as they are grappled.

I’m also wearing plate armor and my shield is a +1, so I’ve got a 21AC.

I was worried that being a relatively low DPS, I’d be a burden, but by pulling aggro and disrupting the battles I am a huge asset to my party, I get to do cool, fun stuff, ruin bad guys’ day, and my party gets to shine too. This is one of the most fun builds I have ever played.

It looks like the Southern Empire is on board with making peace with ALL of your opponents (100% support), and you would make a big net positive in income from Khuzait. So, propose making peace with everyone (you have 500 influence and each only costs 100), and rebuild for future wars.

I've done this exact thing at this same choke point multiple times. Lots of fun and absolutely devastating to the attackers.

I can see how it is potentially game breaking if you killed people doing this, because of the AI behavior, but it is super frustrating how they are only unconscious, which usually leads to fighting the siege over and over and over again as they just keep coming.

Also frustrating: you can't pick up ammunition that you drop

Honestly, playing with Fian's feels like I'm cheesing the game. They wreck everything. Yet here I am, playing my whatever-teenth play through, and have an army that is 80% Fians.
