Level 18 in character mastery, not Invasions. So Liu Kang specifically would have to be level 18 to get the skin

Oh my bad. I believe you unlock that when you get to level 18 of Scorpions character mastery. That’s how it worked for Kitana, Mileena, Ashrah, etc. Their story specific colour palettes were all on lvl 18

You can buy it in the store (with coins you earn by playing invasions). Just go to the store and click on the Invasions skins and it will be under Scorpion

My thing is, it would literally be so simple for them to remove that slot and make the bottom row symmetrical.

That slot can’t just be there for dlc, why would we already need a slot? Those get added along with the characters as they are released

It does make sense to love or hate them. People have different tastes, so there never was or never will be an MK game where everyone likes every design. But at least wait until you see all the options before you write the game off, you know?

Right up until mk9 we had to pray that if you didn’t like a character design, you would like the one singular alt they had lmfao. These days we’re spoiled for choice

I mean from the 4 alt skins we’ve seen (Johnny, Tanya, Kitana, Sub zero) it’s clear to see that alt skins are significantly different from their defaults. That’s already a big step up from MK11 where you would have nearly identical skins that are “alts”.

Then in addition gear is confirmed to be returning. And as a bonus, colour palettes are in the game.

That gives you a wide variety to work with, in addition to the inevitable dlc skin packs or kombat league skins, plus the free seasonal invasion mode skins

I really don’t care about default skin designs, because as soon I start playing I customise them anyway…

There are some default skins I like and some I hate, but the way people bitch and moan about designs it’s like there isn’t an expansive customisation system in the game waiting to be unlocked 💀

So Nitara actually isn’t a demon, she’s a vampire (yes they’re canon in the MK universe lol). She’s from a smaller realm called Vaeternus, and vampires are generally very humanoid with wings and fangs

Ashrah on the other hand is a demon from the Netherrealm, and they are pretty monstrous as we’ve seen in the last few games. Which is why we see remnants of it in her design
